Get Expert Tips On Retail Accounting, Sales & Career

As an accountant in a Departmental Store, I share my expertise on retail accounting, customer service, and career building. Everything on this blog comes from what I actually do – not what I read in a textbook.

Who’s Behind This Blog?

Saykat as accountant in Lazz Pharma Ltd

I’m an accountant at Lazz Pharma Ltd, a departmental store in Bangladesh that sells both medicines and everyday products such as baby care, cosmetics, and groceries. I’ve been doing this for 2 years, working from 2 PM to midnight every day.

My job isn’t just numbers. After I finish the accounts around 10 PM, I go onto the shop floor and help customers. I’ve talked a woman out of leaving empty-handed when her usual diaper brand was out of stock. I’ve paired a biscuit purchase with a tea suggestion that made a customer smile. I’ve learned what actually makes people buy – and what makes them walk out.

I started this blog because I couldn’t find what I needed online. Most retail advice is written by people who’ve never stood behind a counter. I wanted to write something real – for people doing the same job I do.

If you work in retail – as an accountant, a salesperson, or a manager – this blog is for you. And if you run a small shop and want honest, practical advice, you’ll find that here too.

Learn from real experiences, common challenges, and techniques that deliver results.

I write from a shop floor in Bangladesh, not a marketing office. If you work in retail and want advice from someone who’s still doing the job — start here.
